What is Help Me Grow?

The goal of Help Me Grow Florida (HMG) is to promote healthy development for every child in Florida. It is a comprehensive, and integrated statewide system designed to address the need for early identification of developmental and/or behavioral concerns, and then to link children and their families to community-based developmental and behavioral services and supports. It is free to families.

Director of Autism Services and Training, The Scott Center for Autism Treatment

“Early detection of possible development issues means early connection to services that can make a huge difference for a child’s future development. We have seen that firsthand in our family. Programs such as Help Me Grow promote early screenings and interventions that I support wholeheartedly and that can change lives.”

Bunny Finney, Community Volunteer and Child Advocate

Trisha Ross
“As a pediatric psychologist I often see firsthand the challenges that many families face. Often times, behavioral health issues go unchecked and unidentified for far too long. Early screenings, such as those promoted by Help Me Grow, help families with young children to address developmental and behavioral problems sooner, allowing them to receive the support and services they need at an early age, to promote healthy developmental growth.”

Trisha J. Ross, Psy.D., Licensed Clinical Pediatric Psychologist, Brevard Health Alliance

Kristi Van Sickle
“Prevention and early intervention are critical to the health and wellness of our children and families. Help Me Grow supports early, routine screenings for developmental and behavioral disorders in children, and connects families to important and necessary resources aimed at optimizing outcomes.”

Kristi Van Sickle, Psy.D., Director of Behavioral Health, Brevard Health Alliance
